The Great Wall Of China is the longest structure humans have ever made. This 21,196 km wall has been made up of cement, bricks, rocks, and powdered dirt. This greatest wall was built to protect north China from enemy attacks. The Great Wall of China consists of more than 7,000 watchtowers, blockhouses, and beacons to send smoke signals. In 7th century BC, the wall was started to build. In 1878, the building work had finished. The wall was rebuilt as people were stealing from it. It is also being said that the Great Wall of China was seen by astronaut William Pogue from space with the help of binoculars and a lot of practice. It is one of the seven wonders in the world.
